Sierra Club Online Communities

Sierra Club
is one of the oldest and most environmentally influential organizations in the world. Consequently, at the national level, we are involved in many different issues. Some of these issues are very complex and involve many different people from across the nation. Here is the best way to connect to those huge issues and the Sierra Club people working on them:
  1. Climate Crossroads – Climate-change solutions are the focus of this sub-community, with tips, actions, events, and recipes to help stop global warming. http://climatecrossroads.sierraclub.org/

  2. Sierra Club Trails – The trails sub-community features a wiki-powered collection of trails, and is dedicated to those who enjoy hiking, boating, biking, skiing, and other outdoor activities. http://trails.sierraclub.org/

  3. Sierra Student Coalition – This sub-community is SSC's virtual home, a place where youth can connect, engage and organize around the most pressing environmental and climate issues of our time. http://ssc.sierraclub.org/

  4. Activist Network - This sub-community is where Sierra Club activists and supporters can work together to get things done. http://connect.sierraclub.org/ActivistNetwork/home

  5. Sierra Sportsman - A countrywide, thousands-strong group of conservation-minded anglers and hunters. Since the Sierra Club was founded in 1892, hunters and anglers have played a leadership role in our work to preserve the wild places and wildlife all Americans enjoy. http://sportsmen.sierraclub.org/default.aspx?cons_id=3918442&ts=1281291011

  6. Resilient Habitats - Climate change is the largest threat that our natural heritage has ever faced. We must now actively work to create resilient habitats where plants, animals, and people are able to survive and thrive on a warmer planet.
